Abstract

This scientific article has as its object of study the analytical reflection of the journalistic programming of “Nova TV Brasil”, broadcaster of Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC), so named since April 2019. The research debates the attendance of this reconfiguration of the broadcaster, united state TV NBR, the public character of the Service. Therefore, an approach is made to the conditions of origin of TV Brasil, the concept of Public Broadcasting Service and its legal genesis - with a focus on Law No. 11,652, of 2008, known as the EBC Law, and on the principle of present complementarity the Brazilian Federal Constitution of 1988. Methodologically, to analyze the journalistic content of the broadcaster, we selected three programs that integrate the new reformulation of the channel: the “Impressões” interview program, the “Brasil em Dia” newscast and the newscast produced in flashes, “Government Now”. The results of the present research tension the observation of the political-party bias of such journalistic content.
