Abstract

This article sought to analyze how regional news programs place the audience in the daily lives of the leading television vehicles in the states of Pará and Tocantins, located in Northern Brazil. From the perspectives of each capital, it will be possible to understand how the programs Jornal Liberal 1st Edition and Jornal Anhanguera 1st Edition reach the audience and generate visibility, relationship, and closeness. To identify the themes, spaces, singularities, similarities and differences in the investigation, the methodological technique of Audiovisual Materiality Analysis (COUTINHO, 2018) was adopted. In addition, literature research was conducted to deepen the discussions on the subject. The results showed that the audience still does not have this visibility as the news programs reinforce so much in their local programming.
