To the entire community of music enthusiasts and researchers in the field of brass instruments!

We are thrilled to announce that the Brazilian Trombone Association Journal (BTAJ & Associated), the scientific journal of the Brazilian Trombone Association (ABT), is back in action!

The journal is the result of a collaborative effort that began in 2012 with the creation of the scientific committee and the first symposium in the field, held in Tatuí/SP. This was the starting point for gathering and showcasing the production of knowledge about the trombone in Brazil.

Since then, the symposia have continued to be held as part of the Brazilian Trombonists Festivals, featuring increasingly high-quality work. Four years ago, we took another step forward: part of the committee took on the organization of the scientific journal. Today, the ABT operates on two academic fronts:

  • The Scientific Symposium (an annual event);

  • The BTAJ Scientific Journal (a periodical with continuous submissions).

 

We have expanded our scope!

 

Now, in addition to topics such as performance, instrumental education, musicology, musicians' health, and technology, we also include related fields like horn, trumpet, tuba, and euphonium by integrating representatives from these specialties into our editorial board.

Another new feature: the entire artistic program of the Brazilian Trombonists Festival will now be part of the journal in a section dedicated to artistic production.

 

We've made submission easier!

 

The journal has an innovative and intuitive layout and is registered with e-ISSN: 2595-1238. We accept articles in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. All author guidelines are available at: [link suspeito removido]

We invite undergraduate and graduate students in the field of brass to submit their work, thereby strengthening the dissemination of scientific knowledge in our sector.
