The Poverty in the North region of Brazil is quite evident, since this region has one of the worst social indicators in the country. In this context, it is relevant to know and to determine the spatial distribution of poverty for their municipalities. To this end, it used the Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis (ESDA). The results showed that the poverty of a municipality suffers spatial influences of neighboring municipalities and is influenced by other variables such as per capita income, the Gini index and IDHM-E, showing that there is a degree of similarity between the municipalities studied, ie the poverty of a municipality is also explained by the poverty of the municipalities surrounding it. Thus, this study is essential to support public policies that promote the reduction of regional inequalities.Downloads
