In this article, a didactic sequence (SD) was created to discuss climate variability and its impacts on society. The proposal was designed to be applied in the 20th year of high school, seeking to discuss the reality of the Vale do Jiquiriçá Identity Territory and the city of Jaguaquara, in Bahia. SD addresses the causes and effects related to climate variability and discusses the historical, socioeconomic and spatial dimensions. SD is anchored in active methodologies, such as flipped classroom and problem-based learning, aiming to encourage student protagonism in the teaching-learning process. The DS was validated by Geography teachers, who evaluated it positively, considering the categories “School and didactic sequence”, “Problematization” and “Teaching elements”.
