Abstract

This article aims to analyse, from a field research in the Dancer-Researcher-Performer Method (BPI), the Reisado in the city of Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará, Brazil, focusing on the dances of Reisado São Luís, of Master Luís Cláudio, and Reisado Estrela Guia, of Master Lúcia. The main characteristics of the manifestation, its characters, outfits and songs, as well as a pormenorized description and analysis of its movements, are presented.
