Abstract

The present study is the result of a frequent inquiry about the dancing body. Thus, the objective was to articulate corporeality from the perspective of phenomenology Heideggerian existentialism with Rudolf Laban’s modern dance. From the path followed, it was possible to identify that dance is an art imbued with expressiveness and creations. The expressive body manifests itself in a poetic way in the world – a tangle of human relationships, in which the artist is involved in the phenomena in the danced space together with other people and, also, in his own story. Above all, the dancer’s dance expresses his existence that corroborates the construction of this existential trajectory.
