Abstract

The text presented here is a reflection on an experience carried out in the field of Education, notably in Youth and Adult Education (EJA). It addresses the results of a project developed in a public school in the city of João Pessoa – PB, in the Geography discipline, in the context of the pandemic and so-called Remote Teaching (2021). The project focused on the socio-spatial inequalities that exist in the contexts of students' experiences, historically configured as true territories of exclusion. The experience also intended to encourage, among students, the ability to problematize the obstacles that affect urban spaces, especially those relating to their daily lives. The general objective of the article is to reflect on the results from the project developed with EJA/High School classes on socio-spatial inequalities expressed in the most varied types of urban problems on the outskirts of João Pessoa. The discussion also takes place in light of the debate on Human Rights (HR) and Citizenship. From a methodological point of view, the study is configured as participant research, predominantly qualitative in nature, in which bibliographical surveys/analysis, organization, monitoring, recording and analysis of activities/classes carried out with students in the context were carried out. of Remote Teaching. Through the execution of the project, which went through many obstacles (educational, technological, socioeconomic, political, among others), what was developed during the experience between teachers and students is considered extremely relevant, as, in a critical and engaged way, , collectively, there was a flagrant denial of constitutional rights, Human Rights and Citizenship to the students included in the project and to other citizens living in forgotten and neglected spaces by the State in João Pessoa – PB.
