Experiências em arquivos privados pessoais e institucionais

Abstract

This article aims to systematize the exhibitions on Private Personal and Institutional Archives in the 4th National Week of Archives, within the schedule proposed by Fundação Casa de José Américo, based in the city of João Pessoa-Paraíba. It presents the experiences of organizing the private archives of former governor Ricardo Vieira Coutinho, of the Fundação Casa de José Américo; of Maestro José Alberto Kaplan, from Universidade Federal da Paraíba; and the Ecclesiastical Archive of the Arquidiocese da Paraíba. In this sense, theoretical and methodological issues essential for private archives and the context of Paraíba in this area are discussed.
