Abstract

This case study presents the engagement and interaction methodology entitled "Knowledge Circle". The objective of the methodology is to bring people together, create bonds and build a virtuous learning environment. The formation of a group of people belonging to the community of the Brazilian Society of Knowledge Management - SBGC contributed to the creation of this environment. Weekly virtual meetings took place for three months, between March and May 2021. Themes about the moments of uncertainty promoted by the pandemic (MORIN, 2020) and the impact of confinement on the personal and professional lives of the participants were addressed. Methodologically, the experience featured techniques of Theory U (SCHARMER, 2010), Working Out Loud (STEPPER, 2020) and The Art of Hosting. During the practices, digital tools, and applications - CoDigital, Mural, Discord, Zoom - and a text editor and spreadsheets were used to consolidate ideas and generate collective knowledge. The host, responsible for creating the group, assumed the role of conductor and facilitator and, during the experience, became an active actor in conversations and interaction. Matrices were built to explain the results obtained from the topics covered during the cycle. The results were the sharing of knowledge, collective learning, and the formation of a kaleidoscope of ideas due to the exchange of information through online tools, including collaborating to increase the participants' digital literacy. Effective results were also observed with a high degree of collective engagement due to the practices of the community used in knowledge management.
