Cultura organizacional na perspectiva da Ciência da Informação: uma revisão de literatura

The organizational culture is crucial for the development of any type of organization. Thus, understanding it and knowing how to read its signals is one of the great challenges for the managers of these organizations. The objective of this research is to identify the main characteristics of organizational culture from the perspective of Information Science. To this end, a bibliographical survey was carried out in the information sources Web of Science and Base de Dados Referenciais de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação on the referred theme in the period from 2013 to 2023. The organizational culture thematic has its genesis in Administration studies, however it is approached only as part of the organizational context, on the other hand in Information Science field the organizational culture unfolds in the so-called 'informational culture', understood as a determining element for the development of any organization, once which can facilitate or hinder the level of awareness that organizational subjects have about the importance of sharing knowledge to define action strategies and generate innovation. The need to change the organizational culture is seen in the context of Information Science as an element of strategic direction, that is, by adapting the organizational culture to the established strategies and objectives, it will be easier to achieve them efficiently and effectively.
