Abstract

The article’s theme addresses the political-ideological conflict in Brazilian platform capitalism through public hearings about PLP 12/2024 that occurred in the Brazilian National Congress. The objective is to analyze discourses mobilized by agents and the values that support them. The theoretical framework utilized refers to Heinich’s (2017, 2020) concept of “value”. Five public hearings that took place in the National Congress in 2024 were analyzed with methodological assistance of content analysis by Bardin (2016) and Schreier (2012) and Atlas.ti Software v. 25. As preliminary results, data analysis suggests that two values are central to observed conflict: the values of autonomy and transparency. As a conclusion, it is argued that identified values express the way in which political-ideological conflict operates in Brazilian platform capitalism.
