Submission Guidelines

Submission is carried out exclusively through the Journal’s platform. To do so, authors must activate their registration. Using their login and password, authors will both submit their manuscripts and monitor the editorial process related to their submissions.

The manuscript may be submitted to one of the following sections: Dossier, Articles, Essays, Reviews, Experience Reports, and Interviews.

Before submitting, authors should ensure that the manuscript meets the following criteria:

• complies with the ethical requirements and regulatory aspects indicated in the Guidelines for Authors;

• is the authors’ own work and has not been previously published;

• has been reviewed for grammatical and spelling accuracy;

• is not currently under evaluation by another journal;

• contains no indications within the text that could allow the identification of the author(s);

• to ensure double-blind peer review, any possible identification of authorship has been checked and removed from the file through the Properties option in Microsoft Word;

• has been prepared using the RLE template, and the submission will be made in Microsoft Word format.

Note: At the submission stage, the manuscript must be accompanied by the declaration, available through the link. After being completed and signed by the Author, the declaration must be attached as the second document in the submission process.

Guidelines for Authors

Each author may have only one manuscript under submission. If the manuscript is published, the author must wait until one issue has been published before making a new submission.

Each manuscript may have up to four (4) authors, at least one of whom must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree. In the case of single-authored manuscripts, the author must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree. All authors must have an ORCID ID, providing their Open Researcher and Contributor ID number. If they do not have one, they must register at https://orcid.org/register.

Manuscripts prepared using the RLE template and written in Portuguese or Spanish will be accepted. The title, abstract, and keywords must be presented in the language in which the manuscript was written and also in another language, which may be Spanish or English.

Article: 7 to 12 pages in total, including References.

Interview with a researcher in the field of education or teaching: 5 to 12 pages.

Experience Report: 7 to 12 pages in total, including References.

Review: 3 to 6 pages.

Margins, spacing, font type, and font size must be configured according to the Template. All manuscripts must comply with the current ABNT standards.

Title: up to 14 words, including the subtitle, if applicable.

Abstract: must contain between 100 words (minimum) and 150 words (maximum). The abstract should consist of a sequence of concise sentences, written as a single paragraph, without enumerating topics. It must include the objectives, methodology, and research results. The use of the third-person verb form is recommended.

The heading “Abstract” must precede the abstract text on the first line and be written in bold. The abstracts (in the original and foreign languages) must be justified, written in 11-point font, with single line spacing. Keywords must appear immediately below the abstract, separated by semicolons and ending with a period.

Keywords: 3 (three) to 5 (five), in alphabetical order, written in lowercase, separated by semicolons.

Both the abstract and keywords must be organized strictly in accordance with ABNT 6028 (2021).

The Title, Abstract, and Keywords, after being translated by a professional in the foreign language, must be included in accordance with the available template.

We emphasize that the translation must not be produced using translation software, as this may result in inaccuracies and may lead to the rejection of the submission.

Articles and Experience Reports must include an Introduction, Development — presentation of ideas, argumentation, and theoretical foundations —, Methodology, Presentation and Analysis of Results, and Final Considerations. Authors may choose the specific terminology to be used for these sections.

When citations are used, authors must follow the guidelines established in the document Citations — ABNT NBR 10520:2023, the standard updated in July 2023.

Explanatory notes: if the author(s) consider them necessary, explanatory notes may be used and must be presented as endnotes.

The References must include exclusively and in full all materials mentioned in the text, whether as direct or indirect citations. They must follow the guidelines established in the document References — ABNT NBR 6023:2018 — Information and Documentation — References.

Italic font should be used exclusively for foreign words.

The Review must be prepared in accordance with the standards established in ABNT NBR 6028:2021. Therefore, it must begin with the reference of the reviewed work. The text should provide readers with an overview of the document, including an analysis and discussion of its relevant aspects. It should be emphasized that a Review must be written by an author different from the author of the reviewed work.
