Abstract
The exploratory paper, with a descriptive character, systematizes a survey of radio research in the Northeast region of Brazil, presented in 12 national meetings and four in the Northeast Region, conducted by the Brazilian Association of Researchers in Media History (Alcar). The purposes were to identify the productions about some radio in the Northeast and to understand the theoretical perspectives and approaches used by the authors. The theoretical analysis brings contributions from Haussen (2004) and Ferrarreto (2012), who point out the need for critical reflection of studies about radio. The mapping registered 79 papers, 62 presented at national events and 17 at regional ones.
