This reflection aims to investigate the social action and sustainability based on democracy. Democratic boundaries must be determined in the light of the purposes that delimit them, and in order to do so, a systemic integration of man with regard to his social, political, economic and environmental relations is necessary, so that freedom and subjectivity are preserved. From Amartya Sen's thought this reflection propagates the necessary valuation of the conditions of the human being as a subject of rights and capacities in the democratic society, promoting social and ecological sustainability as a new model of insertion of man in the natural world. Using the Transformation in Art project as an empirical model of the construction of Senian theory in social practice in order to progressively develop the application of public policies that promote and develop social projects as a way to reduce inequalities, poverty and the condition of not living. agent. Thus, valuing social vectors such as fraternity and solidarity that, effectively respected, demonstrate that it is possible to live democracy with a sustainable vision, in a democracy that does not exclude the subject because it has singularities, but that recognizes its values, its responsibility and flourishes. the feelings, possibilities and freedoms of acting in search of social interaction and nature, as subject of rights to be preserved for this and also for future generations
