Abstract

This article addresses the main writings of Lukács in the 1920s, emphasizing the relationship between its theoretical content and the historical events that affected Lukács between the years that correspond to the advent of the Russian Revolution (1917) and the publication of the Blum-Thesen (1929). The central point of this article is to elucidate how the worldviews of the young Hungarian philosopher of History and class consciousness and the Lukács os Reboquism and dialectics, Moses Hess and Blum-Thesen differ by strategic issues, in attempts to reconcile their democratic-revolutionary worldview, in the wake of the influence of the Hegelian-Marxist dialectic, and the Soviet Realpolitik. This strategic position maintained throughout the period addressed can be perceived at the end of his life, after the thawing of Stalinism, with a return of Lukács to the field of revolutionary criticism on the left, based on a series of interviews granted between the years of 1960 and 1970.
