The world industry has been going through several phonographic transformations throughout its history, mainly due to changes in the control of the processes of its production chain. In this sense, the article presents a vision of the initiative, based on the neoshumpeterian perspective, and how this overview can be used to understand what can be present in the US music industry from an overview of the 21st century. From an exploratory analysis overview based primarily on the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It should be noted that the choice of the industry is established by the fact that this is the most important in the world, both in terms of production and distribution.
