Abstract

This paper promotes a brief analysis in relation to some of the concepts developed by two philosophers, Nietzsche and Hobbes who lived in different times, in different places, and whose divergent philosophies reflect the lives they lived, but to some extent will present points of divergence and convergence, especially with regard, in particular, to the genesis of the state, empathy and cooperation. The method used during the research was deductive dialectic, applied from the bibliographic material obtained for textual production. During the research, the authors found that the relationship of Nietzsche and Hobbes, with regard to the notions of empathy and cooperation, taking into account the Hobbesian framework of power after power is a very close relationship. However, these exacerbated individualism times need a new build trust relationship links and link to the required recovery of the idea of empathy and cooperation among human beings.
