Narcissism and Conflicts in the Modernity: an Analysis from the Dialectic of Recognition of Hegel

The modern life is a time of conflict, a fact represented by the huge number of lawsuits in the judiciary and the increasing number of crimes committed. The article investigates the contemporary crisis manifested in the increase of legal conflicts in the view of Hegel's dialectic of recognition. The goal is to demonstrate that the facts are just the phenomenology of a deeper crisis, which concerns the own bankrupt in the relations of alterity. The method used was the inductive through bibliography research. It was understood that a fundamental problem of the current crisis is the narcissistic selfishness of individuals that results in the inability to recognize the other and itself.Downloads
