About the Journal

The journal adheres to an open-access policy, making it publicly available free of charge; therefore, it does not charge fees to authors or readers and is available on the Federal University of Paraíba’s Journal Portal. The journal accepts articles, essays, reviews, and translations from researchers, graduate students, and faculty members with doctoral degrees from national and/or international institutions.

Throughout its existence, PROLINGUA has established itself as another platform for disseminating the results of both theoretical and applied research, contributing to the spread of scientific knowledge. In this regard, it seeks to foster debate among researchers and promote the exchange of ideas regarding linguistic phenomena in general. Its editorial board includes researchers from a variety of national and international institutions.

Licensed under Creative Commons, PROLINGUA is also indexed in Latindex, Sumários de Revistas Brasileiras, CNEN, the IBICT Diadorim and Miguilim portals, MIAR, and ResearchBib. Its rating in CAPES’ Qualis Journal Ranking (2021–2024) in the field of Linguistics and Language Studies is A4.
