Call for Papers: Vol. 21, No. 2
The 11th Conference on Linguistics and Cognition, held in João Pessoa from June 1 to 3, 2026, had the following objectives: (i) to promote scientific dialogue and the exchange of research exploring the interfaces between language and cognition, bringing together researchers, faculty, and students from various Brazilian institutions; (ii) to foster critical reflection on the foundations, methods, and applications of cognitive approaches in linguistics, contributing to the advancement of research on the mental and social processes involved in language acquisition, comprehension, and use; (iii) to stimulate and deepen theoretical debate in this field through the presentation and discussion of completed and ongoing research, thereby establishing itself as a space for academic cooperation and for strengthening the scientific community that investigates language in its cognitive, discursive, and sociocultural dimensions; and (iv) to promote exchange among Brazilian researchers in the field and encourage the formation of integrated research groups, thereby strengthening academic collaboration across different programs and regions of the country.
To preserve a record of the event, the journal *Prolíngua*, Volume 21, Number 2, December 2026, will publish scholarly articles resulting from conferences, roundtables, presentations, and workshops held during the 11th Conference on Linguistics and Cognition.
