A CONSTITUIÇÃO DISCURSIVO-MIDIÁTICA DO SUJEITO TRANS FEMININO NO JORNAL LAMPIÃO DA ESQUINA (1981)

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the process of discursive-media constitution of the trans female subject in the light of the contributions offered by Foucauldian Discourse Studies, more specifically those aimed at investigating the procedures and modes of subjectivation, taking into account the interdictions provided by the mechanisms of power.  The corpus of the present research is composed of an interview with the actress Rogéria, published in the 32nd edition of the newspaper Lampião da Esquina, in 1981. To do so, we take a descriptive-interpretative approach to this corpus, using the Foucauldian archaeological method. The analysis of this materiality revealed the existence of discursive practices that point both to procedures of interdiction of the trans subject by the investigated media instance, as well as to resistance movements that led to new modes of subjectivation for the subjects of that time.
