Abstract

The research aims to map street protests in the cities of Belém, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo in order to understand their profiles, main political actors, their demands, their relationship with the space, and political system (governments, institutions and parties). In view of this, this work seeks to dialogue with the theories of social movements that underlie studies in the institutional sphere of the political system, seeking to understand, above all, the profile of these mobilizations as a repertoire of action. The research was produced through quantitative categorization of the manifestations, looking for them in relevant media (profile of leaders in social networks, printed and digital newspapers, blogs) of the analyzed cities.
