Abstract
Objective: This study aimed to identify the scientific production on occupational risks in mobile pre-hospital care (MPC) from 2000 to 2011, and to investigate in the retrieved articles the approaches on occupational risks present in the activities of professionals working in the MPC. Material and Methods: This was a documental research carried out in the electronic databases LILACS and SciELO. The sample consisted of eleven articles, all categorized as field research. In order to explore the data, the thematic content analysis technique was used. Results: A higher number of publications were found in 2008. Among the occupational risks, biological, ergonomic as well as those referring to chemical, psychosocial and physical accidents were the ones found. These professionals face several difficulties that contribute to illness, accident and even death. Conclusion: There is a need for health policies addressing this aspect and decent working conditions, with the purpose of mitigating insalubriousness of the mobile pre-hospital care.
