Abstract

Objective: To analyze a university extension activity encompassing workers health care, popular education, health, and their meanings to reorientation of health, providing comprehensive care for workers. Methods: Data were generated through focus groups conducted with students and workers subjected to thematic content analysis. Results: It emerged from the analysis: impact of popular education on the perception of the training, reorientation of the training in health care and social support – users’ view. Conclusion: The results show that this experience of extension is important for giving room to the reorientation of the training. Popular education and health contributes to better qualify subjects for comprehensive care in workers’ health. DESCRIPTORS Occupational Health. Popular Education. Community-Institutional Relations.
