Abstract

Abstract:

Objective: analyze the contribution of integrative practices to a therapeutic group of self-declared subjects anxious. Methodology: This qualitative study has a descriptive-exploratory approach. Six integrative practice sessions were performed with the 12 subjects participating in the research: meditation, auriculotherapy and principles of chromotherapy and aromatherapy. For data collection, focus groups were conducted before and after the experiences and the Beck Anxiety Inventory was also applied both times. Content analysis was used to analyze the data  Results:The results indicate that participants evaluated positively the therapeutic group before the practices and presented improvement of anxiety in some aspects. A reduction in anxiety symptoms after the practices were observed and confirmed by Beck Anxiety Inventory and participants realized the benefits of integrative practices, including reduced medication use. Conclusion: The practices brought as a differential the rescue of human value, the approximation of the comprehensiveness of care and the filling of the gap left by the traditional method of conducting groups - the enhancement of the emotions that induce the view to take care of themselves and each other, a primordial factor for the promotion of health.
