15-24 Condutas odontológicas nas Atenções Básica e Secundária dos municípios de Pilar e Mamanguape em 2019

Abstract

Introduction: Primary Care (PC) is the gateway for users of the public service, the Dental Specialty Centers (DSC), which make up secondary care in oral health, were created with the aim of integrating care. Objective: To analyze the behaviors / outcomes of dental services in primary care, care in secondary care and the interactional dynamics between the two levels of health care in the cities of Pilar and Mamanguape Methodology: Census, transversal study with an inductive approach, descriptive procedure and indirect documentation technique. Data related to the items of the conduct / outcome axis of the individual dental care record of the 23 Basic Health Units (BHU) and the production of the 2 DSC in PNE Care, Oral Surgery, Endodontics and Periodontics in the cities of Pilar and Mamanguape were used in 2019. Results: In Pilar, the primary care registered 4674 return visits, 2031 treatment conclusions and 418 referrals to the DSC, secondary care produced 4767 procedures in the four mandatory minimum specialties. In Mamanguape, PC performed 12805 follow-up consultations, 1398 treatment conclusions and 856 referrals to the DSC. The DSC production was 3561 procedures in the four specialties. Conclusion: In both cities, the dental service in PC had as main outcome the return visit and as a major conduct, referral to Oral Surgery. The DSC met more than the demand for referrals from UBS, except in the specialty of Endodontics in some months of 2019. The interaction between primary care and secondary care proved to be mostly effective.
