We propose, in this special issue, a connection between Anthropology and Education. The interface between these two fields presents numerous possibilities, including the development of an Anthropology of Education. The relationship between Anthropology and Education dates back to the origin of the discipline, as teaching and learning processes are fundamental to understanding how culture is produced and circulated. Although it is true that this relationship has a long history, it does not mean that there are no tensions involved in this process, especially regarding the appropriation of ethnography by educational research. We welcome submissions that develop an anthropological reflection on the educational field from different perspectives, including classic debates such as studies in preschools, schools, universities, as well as new reflections that involve diagnoses of children and adults, autoethnography, and minority groups.
