Abstract

This essay has a theoretical proposal focused on the politics of anguish, a way found by the author to designate a series of questions and social urgencies experienced by Trans People, during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Therefore, this text examines some emotions and statements in order to understand the politically distressing experiences that go through the period of social isolation. In general, these sentimentalities are read with social and somatic attributes that refract a determined socio-political situation in contemporary Brazil. Methodologically I withdraw the testimonies of my experiences as a professor of sociology, and by chance, ethnographer in a Collective of Popular Education aimed at Trans People in Porto Alegre / RS. Thus, I propose as a reflection the dimensions of anxiety and temporality in the form of markers of the experiences of Trans students that I follow.
