Authors

Abstract

The article is the result of a research carried out in the city of Bezerros-PE, which aimed to analyze the construction of religious belonging among young Catholics within the scope of Charismatic Catholicism. These young people meet weekly in the Nossa Senhora do Rosário chapel, in the mentioned city. Among other aspects of religious identification, we observe how these young people seek the sacred; conceptions of sin and holiness; and how they relate to the traditionalism of the Catholic Church and with the influence of pentecostal elements. In terms of methodology, direct observations were made in group meetings and interviews with young Catholics from the selected parish, stratified by their participation in the group entitled "Rescue".
