Abstract

ABSTRACT:
Inspired by feminist theorists, I elaborate in this essay on the idea of reflexivity as network, suggesting that Haraway’s (1995) idea of partial and situated knowledge derives its density from the perception of knowledge as something produced not by individuals, but rather by collective processes. In these circumstances, reflexivity itself appears as a networked process – composed and recomposed within ongoing relationships. My proposal is enriched by the incorporation of a “logic of care”, elaborated by researchers such as Bellacasa (2010) and Mol (2008; 2010), that implies carrying the concern with pragmatic results into the production of knowledge itself. From this theoretical-methodological perspective, I revisit my experience, during the years of Covid, with the proliferation of online debates between researchers, policy-makers and professionals engaged in intervention activities aimed at Brazil’s child protection services.
