Abstract

Integrate systems in the electric sector has become increasingly evident, since management and asset management initiatives have arisen and demanded the organization and representation of the domain’s knowledge. However, the current scenario in companies has not favored either the management or the management of an asset, since the information and documents are dispersed, in silos, without a terminological standard and also without semantic integration, in addition, the geographic extent of the Interconnected Electric Power System that covers practically all Brazilian territory with an electric power transmission grid, the variety of companies and information systems involved contribute to the diversity of terms used to represent their assets. In this sense, the objective of this work is to establish a solution proposal for the management and management of assets of the electric sector. The proposal, based on fundamentals of Information Science, should highlight the importance of this to the problems of semantic interoperability justifying the need for a regulatory reference model. In order to achieve the desired result, correlated searches will be identified and relationships between the past and present need will be established. It is hoped to achieve this, a solution proposal based on Information Science, of a practical, innovative nature in the sector and that will guide the development of a project.
