Abstract

This article aims to analyze the methodological approaches adopted in the monographs defended the Public Relations Course at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), having as timeframe the years 2011 to 2018. The article analyzed 25 (twenty five) monographs, which constituted the corpus of the research. With properly examined results, it was observed that the Public Relations Course of UFPB demonstrates the predominance of qualitative methods in their monographs, being of basic nature and, the aims, the most exploratory. It also preferably adheres case studies regarding the procedures. With respect to data collection, it was verified that are obtained primarily through documents and being analyzed by the statistical techniques and interpretive mode. By the data, we believe that the article allows us to understand and highlight the methodological approaches followed by the authors of the Works analyzed, constituting as a resource for future work in Public Relations Course and in social areas, mainly as a point of reflection on thes cientific doing.
