RESEARCH ANALYSIS INVOLVING “INFORMATION RECOVERY” IN THE “OASISBR” BASE

Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze scientific publications in Portuguese, published in Brazil, about “information retrieval”, on the Brazilian Portal for Open Access to Scientific Information (oasisbr), from 2007 to 2016. For the analysis of the works, we used whether a quantitative, descriptive research, regarding the procedures adopted in the data collection was documentary, and as for the methodological process, it was desk research. For the analysis of the works, the following categories were used: presence of the terminology “information retrieval” in the title; periodical and / or published event; number of authors / authors; institution of publication and origin of the works and federative unit thereof; year of publication; area of ​​application of the studies. A sample of 29 articles was analyzed, with a total of 56 authors (co-authors were also considered). The place with the largest number of publications was the ENANCIB event with 8 works, this also the main meeting of the area in Brazil. Also noteworthy are the journals, Perspectives in Information Science at UFMG with 5 papers, the BIBLOS by FURG with 4 papers. As for the states of origin of the works, São Paulo with 7 works, followed by Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais, respectively with 5 and 4 works. The research demonstrated that the studies involving “information retrieval” are not exclusively of information science professionals, but of several other areas, such as school libraries, in digital databases, digital databases of music and videos, in the interaction of users with the systems, in the languages ​​of the systems, in the capital market, among others.
