Abstract

This study aimed to identify how libraries and information professionals contribute to building a more innovative country. A bibliographic survey was conducted in two databases: CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel) and Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online). The results showed that several authors, from different areas, understand the important relationship between knowledge and innovation, emphasizing that there is a direct contribution by information professionals, and an indirect contribution by libraries.
