Experience report of the activities developed in the Extension Project “Organization and Preservation of Collections: Editora Noa Noa”, between October 2021 and December 2022. The Project aims to diagnose and inventory the collection of Editora Noa Noa, owned by poet-editor-typographer Cleber Teixeira. Specifically objective: a) Review the literature, identifying the production and existence of artisanal publishing houses in Brazil; b) Diagnose the situation of the collection and the physical space of the Editora Noa Noa Library; c) Identify and train those involved for the organization, storage and dissemination of the collection; d) Apply the policies for the treatment and preservation of the collection of the Editora Noa Noa Library; e) Register, incorporate and physically prepare the existing collection; f) Insert the data of the books in the Biblivre database. As a partial result, about 1515 have already received some form of treatment, and 564 are now ready for local consultation. In addition, a study was carried out on the organization of the current website of the Institute based on the principles of Information Architecture. This highlights the importance of extension practice for student training and social recognition through partnerships between the university and society
