Abstract

This article aims to analyze the public policy of sport and leisure in the city of Imperatriz/MA from the case of the construction of the skatepark (skate rink) at Praça Mané Garrincha. Based on authors such as Lejano (2012), Hincapié (2015) and Peres (2010) we seek to understand how public agents dialogue directly with skaters in the city about the application of investments in sport and leisure. To do so, we conducted an analysis from a procedural perspective built through reports, images and documents that signal the main moments of the skaters' clashes with the public power of this city around the construction of the aforementioned skatePark.
