About the Journal

Focus and Scope

In the journal Problemata, we have as a spirit of discussion and publication an approach to philosophical problems as a methodological perspective. Founded in 1998 by Professor Edmilson Alves de Azevêdo, Problemata has sought its own path of guidance. Our focus is to seek the deepening of questions that imply the development of human thought in a broad sense, through the problematization of questions of philosophical Anthropology, Ethics, Politics, Aesthetics, Metaphysics and History of Philosophy and Philosophy of History in general, without restriction to particular philosophical schools. The intention is precisely to go beyond the questions purely focused on aspects of the History of Philosophy and reach the philosophical development from the problems presented in the course of the history of human thought and the present.

Contributions can be sent in the form of articles, reviews, essas, and translations of canonical texts of philosophical thought. The proposal is also to eventually publish thematic dossiers with guest editors. Contributions can be made in Portuguese, English, Spanish, Italian and, French.
