Abstract

The present special issue results from a project involving a network of researchers from Brazil, Germany and France, and was designed and organized by Prof. Wécio P. Araújo (UFPB) during his PhD in Germany (HGB / Leipzig) in 2017. The number is dedicated to the German critical philosophy, intersecting the most diverse themes within a pluralistic theoretical arc that extends from the classics to the contemporaries, involving from Kant to Cassirer; as well as from Hegel and Marx to Adorno, Habermas, Axel Honneth and Christoph Türcke; together with Schopenhauer and Nietzsche. On the cover, we bring the art of the Chilean painter based in Leipzig, Ivana de Vivanco, who is part of the study group Ästhetische Theorie at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (HGB), where the idea of creating this collection was born. This edition is multilingual and features articles in Portuguese, German and French. We also bring an interview with the Neokantista, Prof. Christoph Möckel, and an essay on the current situation of Brazilian political life.
