THE FUNDAMENTAL IDEAS FOR JUSTICE AS FAIRNESS IN JOHN RAWL ́S POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY

Abstract

John Rawls's theory of justice is one of the most important political theories of contemporary times. His theory of justice as fairness has stimulated debate over decades. It is first presented, in this article, the four roles of Political Philosophy according to Rawls and how this is fulfilled in his political theory. Subsequently, are analyzed the fundamental ideas that base the theory of justice as equity, such as the idea of society as a system of cooperation and the idea of a well- ordered society. The present article seeks to analyze punctually what are these fundamental ideas and their components that from which justice as fairness is grounded.
