Abstract

This paper discusses whether there is an ethics to the exercise of philosophy based on Wittgenstein's critique of philosophy in the work Tratactus Logico-Philosophicus. This article is divided into four sections. First, in section 1, we present a brief understanding of the concepts of world, thought and language. In section 2, we present Wittgenstein's critique of philosophy, through the exposition of meaningless propositions, philosophical nonsense. In section 3, we discuss a possible ethical approach to the work Tractatus. Finally, in section 4, we present our final considerations. According to Wittgenstein, the tacit agreements used to understand ordinary language are enormously complicated. The Tractatus begins what would be, for Wittgenstein, the mission of philosophy: to identify the errors in our language and, thus, by recognizing the limits of what can be expressed, understand the limits of what can or cannot be thought.
