PALLIATIVE CARE IN HOSPITAL CONTEXT: SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION IN THE SCOPE OF POST GRADUATION IN NURSING
Abstract
Objective: Investigate the scientific production in the post graduation in Nursing, about palliative care in hospitals, in the period from 2006 to 2011. Material and Methods: This is a research of a documental nature, consisted of nine publications, which had as data source dissertations and theses published on the subject. Results: The results revealed that the year of 2008 corresponded to the greatest number of publications, with three productions. In relation to the institution which has developed more productions, is highlight the Federal University of Santa Catarina, with three publications. As for the covered approaches, a category was identified - palliative care in hospitals: scientific production in the field of Nursing. Conclusion: Based on these results, is observed the need for greater dissemination of studies in the field of palliative care in the hospital setting. This way, it is reaffirmed how much is imperative that the training institutions invist in empowerment of students and professionals of nursing on this subject. DESCRIPTORS Palliative care. Nursing.
