RECOVERY STRATEGY TO HEALTH MAINTENANCE AND PERFORMANCE IN PROFESSIONAL SOCCER PLAYERS

Abstract

Objective: Investigate which methods of control and registration of post-exercise recovery are used by professional soccer. Material and Methods: Eight professionals participated in the study (six physiologists and two physical coach) working in elite teams of Brazilian football. It was used as a research instrument a questionnaire with three open-ended questions, allowing free description of the methods used in the recovery of their athletes after the practice sessions and / or games. The open questions were analyzed using content analysis method, with categorization data. The results are presented by means of frequency distribution (absolute and / or relative). Results: The professionals analyzed using football to control and record recovery Subjective Perception scales athletes effort - PSE (44%) and subjective perception of recovery - PSR (33%) and physiological parameters such as measurement [CK] (47 %). Two professionals use to evaluate the quality and quantity of sleep as a control method and record retrieval. Conclusion: Concluded that the professionals soccer, study participants, using psychometric scales(perceived exertion and recovery)and measurement of[CK] as the main methods to control the recovery of athletes.
