SELF-PATIENTS WITH CHAGAS DISEASE: AN EDUCATIONAL APPROACH

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the conduct of self in nursing for patients with Chagas disease, the light of literature, identifying the nursing diagnoses and establishing a system of nursing care (SAE) specifies a patient's disease. The study was conducted through literature search, carried out under the holdings of public and private libraries of the city of Joao Pessoa-PB, as well as sites on the Internet. The lack of knowledge associated with symptoms unrelated to the understanding frighten patients, factor of hostility and disgust. Thus, knowledge of effects and alternatives for control and disease prevention are essential to a better quality of life. The nursing educator acting in its role of enhancing the promotion of health self help these patients to find ways to deal with physical reactions to Chagas disease. With this, it emphasizes the importance of this study as it contributes to personal growth, as student and professional, and open avenues for new research related to the subject
