[ID 37205] PACIENTE CRÍTICO: SEGURANÇA EM TERAPIA TRANSFUSIONAL MEDIANTE LISTA DE VERIFICAÇÕES

Objective: To evaluate the safety of the critical patient in transfusion therapy through a checklist. Material and methods: an observational study with a cross-sectional quantitative approach. The research was carried out at the High Complexity Post-operative Unit (UPAC) of a public tertiary hospital, located in Fortaleza-Ceará. The variables of the study were: age, sex, type of transplant, transfusion period, blood transfusion, registry and time of vital signs, - Record of the number of infused pockets, Hemovigilance registry / evolution, Blood transfusion reaction, recording of the receipt of the blood component and the person responsible for the transfusion. The results were organized into tables in the Word program of Windows XP Professional, interpreted and based on the relevant literature. Results: 53.6% male transfusions, followed by 46.3% female. Blood transfusions: red blood cell count (38.1%), plasma (33.6%), platelet concentrate (15.4%), cryoprecipitate (10%) and buffy coat (2.7%). Record of vital signs: temperature 62.7%, blood pressure: 68.2%, heart rate: 56.4% and respiratory rate in 57.3%. Regarding the time of vital signs registration, 47.3% before the start of the transfusion, 20.9% had a record 15 minutes after onset and 30.9% at the end.106 transfusions showed a record of the quantity of infused pockets. Hemovigilance record: 17.3%. 1 transfusion reaction. Identification of blood components: 87.3%. Registration of the receipt of the bag: 25.5%. Registration of the person in charge of the procedure: 75.5%. Conclusion: There is a need to reinforce the importance of the nursing records in the unit where the study was conducted.
