Objective: To verify the viability of two dance protocols - binary rhythm and quaternary rhythm in the UPDRS variables, balance, freezing of gait and quality of life in individuals with Parkinson's disease. Methodology: A randomized two-arm clinical trial comparing the feasibility of two dance protocols. Twenty subjects, diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, participated in the study and were randomly divided into two groups: binary rhythm group and quaternary rhythm group. The intervention was performed twice a week, for 45 minutes, for 12 weeks. The variables analyzed were: UPDRS, balance, freezing gait and quality of life. Results: Both protocols showed positive results in freezing gait, UPDRS and quality of life, still showing great adherence to interventions, showing they are important to support the treatment of the disease. Conclusion: This feasibility study is innovative in individuals with Parkinson's disease, presenting two viable protocols, which can become relevant tools for the treatment of motor and non-motor symptoms in Parkinson's disease.Downloads
