Objective: The objective of this study is to present the methodological path that led to the perception of ethical challenges through the application of the Primary Care Assessment Tool (PCATool) Professional Version, using as a background the incorporation of Palliative Care (CP) in Primary Care to Health (PHC). Methodology: It is a study of triangulation of quantitative and qualitative methods, with the application of PCATool, with questions and results correlated with the ethical challenges synthesized from the scoping review. Results: All the attributes of the PCATool were related to the ethical challenges, indicating that the evaluation of the performance of the attributes allows to recognize areas of ethical tension in the rereading made of the Instrument. Conclusion: Ethical challenges were proactively identified in the incorporation of PCs in PHC, based on the experience of teams that have already offered this service.
