Aim: The aim of this study was to analyze the pedagogical projects (PP) of graduation of courses in Health, from the perspective of the essential competences for health promotion (CompEPS).
Method: Documentary study conducted based on 11 PP courses of health area, of a Higher Education Institution, from the profile, objectives, competencies, and abilities. It was used the software Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires, IRaMuTeQ®, by means of Descending Hierarchical Classification (CHD), to assist in the analysis of documentary material under the CompEPS Matriz.
Results: The nine domains of the CompEPS matriz and their respective competencies investigated for the identification of pedagogical projects in the courses. The profile, objectives, competencies, and skills indicate the development of competencies for health promotion in the training of students in the courses studied. This brings a perspective of intentionality on the part of the PPs to develop health promotion professionals.
Conclusion: It was observed the manifestation of all competencies of the CompEPS matrix in PP, which represents an important process towards a training and practice of health promotion. Reflecting on the context of health promotion focused on PP represents an important indicator for improvements in the performance of professionals in the Unified Health System.
