Abstract

Este artigo pretende contribuir para o debate sobre a representação política das mulheres a partir do caso do Brasil e em perspectiva comparada com outros países da América Latina. Em 2013, o Brasil completou um quarto de século de sua segunda experiência democrática desde a proclamação da República. Por isso, objetiva-se, também, analisar o impacto da exclusão política das mulheres na qualidade da democracia brasileira.

Beatriz Rodrigues Sanchez, Universidade de São Paulo

É bacharelanda do curso de Relações Internacionais da Universidade de São Paulo. É pesquisadora do Núcleo de Pesquisa em Políticas Públicas da Universidade de São Paulo e bolsista do projeto "Brasil, 25 anos de democracia avaliação crítica: instituições de representação, sociedade civil, cultura política e políticas públicas", realizando pesquisa sobre a representação política das mulheres.
