Abstract

In this paper we reflect on the strategies of the labor movement and the unions from the post-crisis context of 2001 in Argentina to the present. The aim of the work is to problematize the processes of the so-called union renewal, considering the scope and limits in the economic and political struggle of the labor reorganization processes of the working class after the crisis of the convertibility regime, to raise elements that allow us to discuss in what condition the workers and unions are facing the observable neo-conservative turn in the country and the region. We will address different dimensions related to labor relations, trade union action and the role of the State, based on the analysis of the evolution and characteristics of labor conflicts and collective bargaining, information on rates of unionization and representation in workplaces, labor policy of the different governments from 2002 to the present, and the evolution of the main economic and labor market indicators.
